The historic harbour wall was surveyed and found to be in urgent repair.
Working closely with the Structural Engineer an outline scheme was reviewed in terms of methodology and costing for budget and funding purposes.
Constraints included a listed structure and a working quayside. Further hazards that had to be considered included an unstable structure, tidal working, open water, safe working loads, and complex segregation issues.
Tenders received were within budget and the works were completed on programme.
